Scope & Content This folder contains a program for a reunion luncheon held on July 28, 1960 for the Graduate Nurses of Longmont Hospital Training School for Nurses 1910-1930, as well as a newspaper clipping (undated) about the event.
Admin/Biographical History The Longmont Hospital Training School for Nurses opened in 1907 and closed following the graduation of the class of 1930. The school was officially dissolved in 1947. These personal papers belong to Maybelle Axelson Wiggett, who attended the school and graduated in 1925.

Notes The reunion lunchen program contains the names of graduate nurses of the Longmont Hospital Training School for Nurses. Names for graduates of all classes are included for each year from 1910 through 1930, with the exception of 1918 and 1928. (The booklet for the Alumni Association of the LHTSN, dated 1964 and included in the same file box, indicates there were two graduates in 1928 but none were listed for 1918.) Each graduate's name is followed by their married name, their address as of 1960, and a note indicating if they were deceased as of the date of the luncheon in 1960. The final page contains a poem entitled, "Retirement" with no attribution.

The newspaper article (undated) indicates the event was held at Wild Basin Lodge in Allenspark and lists the names of those present at the luncheon.

Size The luncheon program is in the form of a 12-page card (including the front and back covers) measuring 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". The front cover has glued on it a black and white photograph (3 1/2" x 2 3/4") of the Longmont Hospital Training School For Nurses. The cover also has glued on it a color photograph (2 7/8" x 1 7/8") of columbine flowers. The card is bound with staples and has a lavender colored ribbon tied on the left edge.
