Scope & Content Map of Longmont by W. C. Willits, civil engineer created in January 1894. Using color to delineate subdivisions and additions. Also shows some home and business ownership in addition to business names, neighboring farm land ownership, rail roads and civic buildings. Map has lithographs along the right side and bottom of the following civic buildings; City Hall, Bryant School, Farmers Mill and Elevator, Imperial Hotel, Dickens Opera House and the First National Bank. In red ink, handwritten in the top right corner: "City property, bought February 20 1894. John A. Buckly -- Mayor. J.W. Denio, J. N. McLellan, J. W. Warner, James Wiggins, M. G. Secor, Robert Blum -- Board of Treasurers; G. E. Smith -- Clerk and Recorder; Geo. W. Brown -- Water Com'r; W. H. Harrison -- Marhsall. At the bottom center of the map: "Union Pacific Denver and Gulf Ry. The Colorado Texas Short Line. Direct and Short Route - Denver to San Antonio. Galveston, New Orleans and all points South. Through sleepers, etc.
